# AMLR Art. 89 — Relation to Directive (EU) 2015/849 - **Part of:** [[AMLR]] - **FATF keying:** _none_ - **Swiss provisions:** _none_ ## What it requires AMLR Art. 89 provides that references to the repealed Directive (EU) 2015/849 are to be read as references to this Regulation and to Directive (EU) 2024/1640, following the correlation table in Annex VI. ## Swiss position TJPG Art. 55 (Koordination) is a domestic sequencing clause, not a cross-reference to EU law. It fixes which version of a specified GwG provision governs depending on whether the TJPG's own GwG amendment, or the GwG amendment made by the 20 December 2024 federal act on electronic communication platforms in the judiciary, enters into force first - and states the resulting text for either order, or for simultaneous entry into force. It resolves a conflict between two contemporaneous Swiss amending statutes touching the same GwG text. ## Key divergences AMLR Art. 89 is a citation-conversion device: it redirects references made under an old EU directive to the new regulation and directive pair, via a formal correlation table. TJPG Art. 55 addresses a different problem entirely - which of two simultaneous Swiss statutory amendments to the same GwG provision takes precedence - with no EU-directive dimension at all. The two provisions do not correspond in subject matter, and TJPG Art. 55 says nothing about the AMLR or the EU directives. ## Authoritative text > [!quote]- Regulation (EU) 2024/1624 (AMLR), Article 89 — English text (EUR-Lex, CELEX 32024R1624) > **Article 89** > *Relation to Directive (EU) 2015/849* > References to Directive (EU) 2015/849 shall be construed as references to this Regulation and to Directive (EU) 2024/1640 and read in accordance with the correlation table set out in Annex VI to this Regulation. ## Sources - AMLR Art. 89 — CELEX 32024R1624 - TJPG BBl 2025 2900, Art. 55
